VINACERT, which was established on January, 31st 2007, is a 100% Vietnam certification body acting under the Law on Business in 2005. Although newly being established, VINACERT has defined our steps in order to satisfy the market demands. One of VINACERT’s first steps is to co-operate with ABS QE – one of the most famous American Certification bodies in supplying certification services for the third party. When you want to receive ABS QE certificates, you just contact to VINACERT. We will supply auditors agreed by ABS QE to carry out these audits. All certification activities of ABS QE obey Guide 62 and Guide 66. ABS QE was recognized by: ANAB (US) www.anab.org; RvA (Netherlands) www.rva.nl; INMETRO (Brazil) www.inmetro.gov.br; EMA (Mexico) www.ema.org.mx.  The next step is to establish quality management system for the audit activities. Certification bodies in the world was applying Guide 62 and Guide 66 of IAF for QMS and EMS certification services at that time. VINACERT knows that all certification bodies will have to apply ISO/IEC 17021 till the August of the year 2008; therefore, VINACERT decides to apply this criteria immediately. Luckily, Vietnam Bureau Of Accreditations is ready for that certification audit standard. Thanks to that luck, it is affirmed that VINACERT is the first certification body applying ISO/IEC 17021 in the world. While VINACERT was trying to build audit process for ISO 22000:2005 – a new and powerful standard for food safety, hygience, and quality guarantee of organizations in the food chain; In Febuary of the year 2007, ISO Board promulgated  ISO/TS 22003:2007 standard – requirements for certification bodies for food safety management system. It is very difficult for certification bodies to apply this. One of those requirements is that the one who sign in the certificate must have knowledge of food safety. Once more, VINACERT is lucky. Although this is the newly promulgated standard, BOA is ready to audit and accredit it.
